Day 3

Hi Everyone, firstly thank you for your kind comments and good wishes, I have printed them out and will be able to read them out after our reflection time later.. This time is becoming very special to all the team and what a great experience it is to sing Shine Jesus Shine on the roof of the hotel with flashes of lighting in the background..

The photos are of the team today on site, today has been much hotter and the 2nd team who where finishing digging foundations for a kitchen area at this house found it really tough, from experience the third days is always though as you try to break through the acclimatising barrier.. The afternoon wash much better though, we found out we are going out to get pizza for tea :) and as we where moving bricks and helping the mason start the foundation brick work..

On the other site William and the gang where doing that age old task of white washing, by the look of some of them this evening they done a good job of white washing each other too..

Past team members will recognise Sundar in one of the pictures he has been with all three Boys' Brigade teams and has been interpreting love songs for us from tamil to english.. Also for the 2009 team members I spoke with Winston on the phone today, he is trying to make arrangements to come and visit us before we leave and he also sends his good wishes to all the 2009 team.. He's still looking for his finished movie yet...!

Getting near to pizza time so better go, thanks again for all your comments, keep them coming...

  1. Hi all

Good to hear all is going well and that BB is setting such a high standard for the work being done. I am sure everyone is feeling tired but trust that everyone wouldn't want to be anywhere else - enjoy the experience. God is good and I hope you all feel His presence close to you. We look forward to hearing more about your trip so lots of love from Doagh

Is that the ladder we had in 2007? It looks familiar.
What's the craic about PIZZA!! It's supposed to chicken with this and chicken with that. Maybe it's chicken pizza.
Keep drinking the water and eating the crisps.

Didn't know you needed an engineer's certificate for whitewashing! Is it just like painting white lines on the road, only use a wider brush,William!!

  4. Hi everyone, hope you all enjoyed pizza hut! Sounds like you deserved it after all the hard work you did on day 3 and 2 and 1!! I know it's great to be able to outdo what is expected of you but please be careful, especially in the heat, as you have to last 2 weeks! Pace yourselves! Home is wet....and quiet.....and tidy lol. It's great to see some photos, though Sam and Blair must have been working or hiding when they were taken :(( I trust by now you are strengthening friendships and really pulling together as a team. You are being prayed for all over the country, it's our prayer that through this special experience you will all become more dependent on and close to your Saviour, Jesus. Love and blessings Heather and Chrissie x
